Martha’s Vineyard is full of beautiful family moments. Whether it is in the hot summer sun or a cool brisk winter day, these moments are all around us, and what better way to make memories than having them captured by a family portrait. What we plan to do as your photographer is to capture the happiness you as a family have and show it in our work. 

 We put families in one of our wonderful hand-picked fun upbeat locations and then capture the happiness that naturally comes to each member of the family. Our goal is to take your enthusiasm and let it really come out in each photo we take. We also want to capture your family dynamic you bring to the photoshoot that will stand the test of time and look great in years to come. 

Fun in the sun at the Aquinnah Cliffs

A family portrait session as the Aquinnah Cliffs is the way to go! We make sure to keep our sessions action-packed and fun and what better way to do that than spending the day In Aquinnah and wrap it up with a sunset photoshoot with the family. Before the family photoshoot, you can walk around the small town and see all that Aquinnah has to offer. The Aquinnah cliffs are known for their breathtaking sights but also for the beautiful handmade jewelry that is sold there as well. You can also get a bite at The Aquinnah Shop Restaurant before your family photoshoot and look out at the beautiful cliffs.

Sunset at Menemsha

If you are looking for a family portrait shoot that has the vibe of a small fishing town in New England, Menemsha is the place for you. This cute town has so much to do and see that you might want to explore before or after your family portrait shoot. Menemsha is not only known for its amazing sunsets but the local fresh caught fish as well. Don’t forget to try out some local fish from either Larsen’s or  Menemsha Fish Market.

 A walk through history in the  Oak BLuffs Gingerbread Houses

The Gingerbread Houses in Oak Bluffs is a great location for a family portrait photoshoot session because it is a very cute little neighborhood. These historic houses make for a great place for a picnic and a walk. Each House has its own style and fun vibrant color. We like to tell people about this location because it is a peaceful and quiet location that is right next to the main street in Oak Bluffs. Before the family portrait photoshoot, you could spend a lovely afternoon with the entire family with a home-cooked picnic or food from Dos Mas, The Lookout Tavern,  or any of the other wonderful spots downtown Oak Bluffs has to offer. 

A Perfect South Beach Day 

What is better than a day at the beach with the whole family. We recommend this location for a family portrait photoshoot because Martha’s Vineyard is known for its beautiful beaches and having some fun in the summer sun. This fun location gives families the opportunity to spend the day at the beach as well as get some beautiful pictures of your family. We recommend packing a picnic making a day out of it. 

Classic Edgartown Lighthouse

Edgartown Lighthouse is the perfect location for a family portrait session. This location is close to downtown Edgartown and a beautiful sunset. With the classic new England look, this lighthouse is great for families who are going for more of an elegant look. That being said, it is also perfect for a fun day in the sun family portrait photoshoot. We recommend grabbing a nice dinner after your shoot at the Harbor View Inn Restaurant to conclude a fun-filled day.

A Day With The Family At Oak Bluffs Marina

The oak bluffs marina is perfect for families who love to spend a day at the beach. This location has many great spots to capture natural shots from the classic pose to a candid of the kids splashing in the water. We recommend you making the day complete with a snack from the East Chop Beach Club. We love to recommend this spot for families who have a membership and want us to tag along on a beach day with the entire family. 

Keep it simple From Your Backyard

This location is best for a family who is looking to stay close to home for their family portrait photoshoot. We recommend it to people who want to capture their families at home or who want to keep it safe during covid. We recommend making a day of it and have some memorable spots you want to incorporate into your family photoshoot. Our goal with this location is to keep it casual and spend time capturing each individual family member.
